“You couldn't ask for a more complete and compelling documentary about one of the most revered athletes to ever play the game of basketball.

Well, maybe you could, because I could have easily watched a few more hours of this doc miniseries.”

- Ethan Anderton, Slash Film

“It deploys a unique approach to exploring the duality of balancing international celebrity with being a flawed father and husband.

And whether you know him as Magic; Earvin; his disc jockey persona, EJ the DJ; the “coach killer,” Tragic Magic; or his childhood nickname, Junebug;

this is a brilliant miniseries that will not only teach you about one of the most beloved figures in the history of professional sports, but might even teach you a little about yourself.”

- Jay Connor, The Root

“Think of it as a more satisfying companion to HBO's ‘Winning Time’, or more focused alternative to ESPN's comprehensive Bulls chronicle ‘The Last Dance.’“

- Brian Lowry, CNN
